Theres got to be a line - no actually there is that line to never cross in life or frankly to guide you! But as human as we are , we tend to cross it once in a while.

jelousy
proving points
expecting things/favours from humans

pride
ignorance
hatred


Though one of the 'bad' things may bridge you to a better person, I think its just that simple , the Bible, our mothers,fathers,brothers,sisters etc had been trying to say just these.
